WORK IN IETF

The Internet Engineering Task Force - IETF is the only organization of global Internet technology development and standard setting under the leadership of ISOC. It is also a very authoritative network related technology research group in the Internet industry. A lot of technical work of IETF is undertaken and completed by various working groups (WG).

Since 2000, various CERNET expert teams have been working hard to promote the scientific research of next generation Internet, actively participating in IETF technology development and standardization, and contributing more than 20 Internet standards. Since 2005, CERNET experts have initiated and established the software working group of IETF, and the SAVI working group was established in 2008.

The SAVI working group has successively completed 21 Internet RFC standards such as RFC4925 and RFC5210, among which RFC5210 was selected as the "top ten scientific and technological progress of Chinese colleges and universities" in 2008.
