CERNET Annual Conference

The CERNET Annual Conference and Member Meetings have occurred since the early stage of CERNET construction in 1994. The events are organized by CERNET Management Committee, co-organized by CERNET Network Center and CERNET Expert Committee, and hosted by CERNET node universities in turn.

The participants are mainly CERNET technical experts, operators and member representatives. In recent years, the number of participants has exceeded 1000. The conference is generally focused on the following contents: interpretation of national policies, introduction of cutting-edge technology, exchange of network management, and discussion of campus applications. At the same time, parallel forums are also organized, including such topics as CIO forum, Network Security Forum, Network Operation Management Forum, IPv6 Technology and Application Forum, Eduroam and CARSI forum.

Foreign experts have also been invited to give keynote speeches for sharing their ideas and experiences.

Next Generation Internet Innovation

China Education and Research Network center and CERNET Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as " CERNET.com ") have set up the "next generation Internet technology innovation project of CERNET.com" since 2015, with the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Education as the project guidance unit.

The project is funded by CERNET.com, which mainly supports the university faculties and students who have access to the next generation Internet of IPv6 in CERNET member institutions. Their role is to carry out innovative research on the technology and application services of the next generation Internet, cultivate Internet innovative talents, and promote the development of China's next generation Internet technology and application.

The Third Conference on Internet Architecture was held in Chengdu

On December 6, 2020, the third Conference on Internet Architecture held in Chengdu. The conference was jointly guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by China Society of communications, hosted by Tsinghua University and Peng Cheng Laboratory. The conference adopts the combination of online and offline, with more than 100 offline participants and 2800 online participants.
