APAN Meetings
Asia Pacific Advanced Network-APAN, was first established as a non-profit international consortium in 1997. It is composed of NRENs from 21 countries and regions. It is committed to promoting the high-speed interconnection of education and research network in the Asia Pacific region and other parts of the world, as well as the cooperation of advanced network technologies and major applications. It is the now one of the most influential academic organization supporting educational and scientific research network technologies and applications in Asia.
APAN organizes two academic meetings per year. CERNET Network Center of Tsinghua University organized and hosted an APAN meeting in Beijing in 2000, cooperated with Shanghai Jiaotong University to host an meeting APAN in 2002, Xi'an in 2007 and most recently collaborated with Dalian University of Technology to host APAN Dalian meeting in 2017.
