15-18, Sept. 2010
Xi'an

The Northeastern Asian Symposium on ICT: Next Generation Network and Network Security was held on September 15-18, 2010 at the Kempinski Hotel in Xi'an. National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) and National Research Foundation of Korea (NRF) co-hosted the symposium.

Since 2004, NSFC, JSPS, and NRF (KOSEF before 2009, Korea Science and Engineering Foundation) have successfully jointly organized 6 academic seminars attended by scientists from the three countries, providing sufficient support for scientists and opportunities for communication and project design. On this basis, NSFC, JSPS, and NRF will jointly collect major international cooperative research projects in this field, named the China-Japan-Korea A3 forward-looking project.

The conference was supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). The Institute of Network Sciences and Cyberspace of Tsinghua University was the organizer of the conference, and the Xi'an Jiaotong University Network Center was the co-organizer of the conference. Experts and scholars in the field of cybersecurity exchanged views on the latest research and progress in their respective research fields, discussed the possibility and feasibility of cooperation in related research fields, and provided important information for the project guidelines of the A3 forward-looking project.
