From December 1 to 3, 2020, the 27th CERNET Annual Conference was held in Shenzhen. The theme of the conference event was  "New Normal of Education in Post-Epidemic Period Supported by New Network Technology". With the combination of online and offline access, more than 800 people from  government agencies, universities, representatives of CERNET member units and other enterprises attended the opening ceremony in person and nearly 4000 people attended the meeting online.

The conference was held under the guidance of CERNET Management Committee, organized by CERNET Network Center, hosted by Shenzhen University, and co-hosted by CERNET expert committee, Guangdong Provincial Department of education and Shenzhen Bureau of Education.

During the conference, which coincided with the 20th anniversary exhibition of CERNET network company, many forums met to discuss important topics - these included:

--"Network Security Forum", 

--"Wireless Campus Technology Forum", 

--"IPv6 Technology and Application Forum", 

--"Eduroam and CARSI Forum", 

--"Network Operation Management Forum", 

--"University Science and Education Cloud Service and Application Forum"

--"Supercomputer Internet and High Performance Computing Forum" 

--"Network and Wisdom Education Forum during the COVID-19"

In addition, other groups met to carry out extensive academic exchanges on various university informatization related topics.
