The Third Conference on Internet Architecture was held in Chengdu

On December 6, 2020, the third Conference on Internet Architecture held in Chengdu. The conference was jointly guided by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and China Association for Science and Technology, sponsored by China Society of communications, hosted by Tsinghua University and Peng Cheng Laboratory. The conference adopts the combination of online and offline, with more than 100 offline participants and 2800 online participants.

The conference was presided over by Mingwei Xu, Professor of Tsinghua University and vice president of Network Research Institute. Yanchuan Zhang, vice president and secretary general of China Society of Communication, addressed the conference.

Dr. Laura Breeden, chairman of the board of directors from NDIA make the report entitled "The Road from CSNET to a Commercial Internet"; Professor Kilnam Chon from KAIST, South Korea, made the report entitled "Early Internet Development in Asia", the two reports were conducted by video recording.

Professor Haixin Duan of Tsinghua University made a speech entitled "Architecture Evolution and Development of Distributed System: Past and Present of DNS Security". Tan Kun, vice president of Central Software Institute of Huawei Technology Co., Ltd., delivered the report entitled "Microsecond Level Network: Challenges and Opportunities".

The Conference on Internet Architecture focuses on the Internet architecture, basic theory, key technologies, new applications, research hotspots, technology crossover and other academic hotspots, providing a platform for sharing and exchanging the latest academic and technological achievements, as well as a channel for displaying and promoting technological innovation achievements for domestic scientific and technological workers in the field of Internet, Jointly promote the development of domestic Internet research and technology application, and actively participate in and promote the progress of Internet science and technology.
