China-Japan IPv6 Cooperation Project on Next Generation Internet (IPv6-CJ)

Under the guidance of the National Development and Reform Commission of China and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan, the project is a joint research conducted by the Chinese implementing agency (CERNET Network Research Institute) and the Japanese implementing agency CIAJ (Communications and Information network Association of Japan). The purpose of this project was to promote the research and development of the next generation Internet network, through the construction and test verification of the IPv6 test network in China, under the guidance of the China NDRC and Japan Meti, and on the basis of complying with the laws and regulations of both countries and related international conventions. The implementation of this project contributed to the construction of the next-generation interconnection network as soon as possible in China, Japan and the widerAsian region, and to the development of global informatization.
