The FLOSSWorld project was an international cooperation project in the field of information technology under the EU's Sixth Framework Program. It aims to explore and support the development and dissemination of free and open-source software through a comprehensive analysis and investigation of the global impact of free and open-source software. The project was of great significance to the improvement of the science and technology innovation system in developing countries. 18 units from 13 countries participated in the project, and the CERNET Network Research Institute of Tsinghua University is one of the two Chinese units.
