In order to achieve a complete IPv6-based information management system solution for the 2008 Olympics, the Internet Engineer Research Center and National Network Center of Tsinghua University and France Telecom Beijing R&D Center cooperated to establish an IPv6-based Olympic information management network and service platform. New services that IPv6 technology can realize, applications and services based on IPv6 for individuals, enterprises, ISPs, ICP, etc., played a demonstrative role; The project also expanded IPv6 technology in various application fields such as consumer services, wireless services, and distributed computing.
